A Twitter Story: How to Take Virtual Accessibility to the Next Level

    May 27, 2020

The pivot from in-person classes to virtual learning at colleges and universities around the world has been an eye-opening experience: instructors are quickly realizing the power of video to deliver engaging, personalized learning and students are settling into video lectures and collaborative conferencing calls. It may be easy to overlook one important aspect – accessibility – during the rush.

Recently we were thrilled to partner with captioning provider Verbit to present a webinar, The New Norm: Data and Tools to Fuel Effective Virtual Learning for All Students. Scott Ready, a Senior Customer Success Manager at Verbit and Rob Lipps, EVP of Mediasite, discussed how to enter this new virtual normal with confidence, ensuring the same high-quality education for all. We asked viewers to engage with us on Twitter, asking their questions and sharing insights using #virtuallearnign4all and #GAAD (Thursday was Global Accessibility Awareness Day!). You can register for the webinar here and read on for the highlights of our virtual Twitter chat.
