Faculty in the Department of Veterinary Science at the University of Antwerp in Belgium participate in a European program with international students studying at five different universities. Faculty like Professor Chris Van Ginneken say it’s very important that the course content is accessible to students via an online learning platform.
She and her colleagues use My Mediasite Desktop Recorder by Sonic Foundry to easily capture, upload and share videos from any computer.
“I appreciate that I can decide where and when I make my recordings and that I can easily make them available to these international students. The students from their point of view appreciate that they can decide when and where they view these recordings,” she said.
Van Ginneken is one of about 130 university faculty and staff currently using My Mediasite, and that number increases every year.
Because of the user-friendly environment of My Mediasite, it has become an indispensable online tool to create instructional clips and trainings, and users are able to manage and publish their recordings themselves.
