Today, we announced a quick-start video migration program for customers of Cisco TelePresence Content Server (TCS), which is end-of-life, and Harman’s RealPresence Media Suite (formerly Polycom).
Mediasite, which specializes in video streaming and content management, is offering a quick, cost-effective way for users of these technologies to import existing videos into Mediasite Video Platform and instantly start recording and streaming collaborative trainings, meetings and classes with Mediasite Join.
Mediasite Join integrates with existing web or video conference systems, automatically recording and managing everything said and shown during collaborative sessions in classrooms, training rooms and huddle rooms for easy playback on any device, live and on-demand. This creates searchable, secure video libraries of these events that employees and students can refer to anytime. Plus, Mediasite videos include engagement and interactivity features like quizzes, comments and discussions, annotations and polls that personalize learning experiences and improve retention.
“Mediasite Join provides a comprehensive record of what happened during collaborative sessions, complete with audio, various camera feeds and any content that was shared – a much more accessible and useful file compared to the large, single-stream recordings from conferencing technologies,” said Rob Lipps, Executive Vice President, Sonic Foundry.
Mediasite Join boasts flexible deployment options, including:
- As a hosted service in Mediasite Video Cloud. There’s no installation of equipment.
- As an appliance with on-premises installation, ideal for healthcare systems and corporations with stringent privacy requirements
